They are stylish, robust and offer design continuity alongside practical application. A wide range of shapes, profiles and imagery can be incorporated into these guards and can be manufactured to drawings and designs supplied by clients. Available in either 275 carbon steel (finished galvanised and powder coated to any standard RAL colour), or as a polished stainless steel product in either grade 304 or grade 316 stainless steel.

The gtDales Tree Guards protect young saplings in their early stages of development. When young trees are vulnerable, vandalism and traffic damage can be very detrimental long term which can lead to development problems or tree mortality.

gtSupport Frames stabilise the grilles and helps to prevent shrinkage and subsidence of the tree pit. gtSecurity Clamps secure the individual sections of the tree grille to each other and to the support frame, which increases the rigidity of the whole unit and prevents removal of the grille sections.

The gtDales Collection Tree Grilles offers a ranges of cast iron tree grilles that protect tree’s roots allowing them to receive natural water. This prevents the soil in the tree pit being compacted, protecting the root system
from vehicle and pedestrian damage.

The gtFortress Tree Grille offer a stylish and practical tree grille with the urban setting in mind. The design allows paving to be continued almost up to the tree trunk, protecting the trees root system from urban traffic and soil compaction but also allowing rainwater through to maximise irrigation and urban drainage. To ensure the maintenance of the tree, a Mona Irrigation Unit can be fitted seamlessly into the grille and paving scheme. As a standard item, the gtFortress Tree Grille is ideal for use with block paving, but dimensions of the inner trays can be altered to suit other paving styles. As with all gt tree grilles, the inner trays or grille sections are fastened with security fixings and are fully removable allowing the tree to be removed and replaced if required.

The gtFortress Ring Guard is manufactured from structural grade 275 carbon steel made from recycled sources. It is fully welded with a 50mm diameter tube top rail and 50mm by 5mm formed flat bar uprights. Galvanised as a standard finish, powder coating is available. The Fortress Ring Guard can be supplied as two halves for assembly or as a complete ring encompassing the tree.

The gtResibond is an aesthetically pleasing porous resin bound surface layer of aggregate, suitable for the surrounds of trees within hard-landscaped areas. gtResibond can be used in areas where conventional means of mulching with loose materials may not be practical due to the constant displacement of the material increasing maintenance time and costs.

The gtResi-Grille offers a cast iron grille which has a recess of 50mm that allows the grille to be filled with gtResibond to make a porous surface. When filled the gtResi-Grille protects tree’s roots allowing them to receive natural water. This prevents the soil in the tree pit being compacted, protecting the root system from vehicle and pedestrian damage.
