Mona Pluvia
Mona Pluvia – The Next Generation of Intelligent Irrigation
Mona Pluvia collects rainwater and stormwater in urban locations and utilises it for essential tree and plant irrigation in built-up environments.
The system is key to achieving sustainable water management, recycling rainwater and diverting it to where water is needed the most at the plant’s roots.
Mona Pluvia incorporates a sensor-controlled pump that works to the needs of the planting, activating only when water is low and the planting requires more water. Specially developed sensors, communicate with the pump when the water level drops below an agreed level within the tank which activates the pump, filling the subterranean yellow Mona tanks with rainwater.
Mona Pluvia works with the natural feeding pattern of the planting whilst recovering water that would ordinarily enter an urban drainage network.
This closed-loop system not only reduces water wastage but also ensures a more natural hydration cycle for trees and plants, supporting long-term sustainability in urban landscapes.
Why choose Mona Pluvia?
• Proven Capillary Action Technology: Works with nature to optimise plant hydration and root health.
• Ideal for Urban & Hard Landscaping: Designed for city tree planting, parks, streetscapes, and green infrastructure projects.
• Sustainable Water Use: Captures and reuses rainwater and stormwater, reducing pressure on water supplies.
• Manufactured in the UK: Incorporating decades of irrigation experience.
• Eliminates Surface Watering: Reduces maintenance time, avoids surface water run-off and enhances water efficiency.
• Supports Climate Resilience: Helps urban areas adapt to changing rainfall patterns and water shortages.
The Science Behind Mona irrigation
Inspired By Nature
improving biodiversity within cities and towns, by harvesting and recycling rain water we are utilising the resources we have to the benefit of the environment.
Taking green assets that naturally provide biodiversity and combining them with water management creates a true vision of sustainable blue green infrastructure.
