About The Project
Bovis Homes, an established name in British building has built a new housing development on the Stanton Cross estate in Wellingborough. It has been promoted as an exciting extension to the town, a brand-new community with an identity and character of its own.
Stanton Cross is considered to be one of the most ambitious projects in the town for generations, it is a flagship mixed-use development which will see more than £1 billion invested in Wellingborough.
Once complete it will provide more than 3,650 new homes and 1.5million sq. ft of industrial, leisure, retail and office space and create around 3,000 new jobs. It also offers new public parks, schools, a doctor’s surgery and much more.
Leading Landscape Contractor Kings Landscapes was contracted to complete the extensive landscaping on behalf of Bovis Homes. This included finding a way to screen off a concrete retaining wall which was visible from the road.
What we did
The landscape contractor Kings Landscapes was tasked with sourcing a solution that would provide instant impact and turned to Green-tech for advice.
The Green-tech team looked into the viable options and suggested that Ivy Green Screens would be ideal for the landscaping work as instant privacy was required. Green-tech sourced and supplied 36 1.8m x 1.2m green screens to Kings Landscapes.
The green screens were a simple solution, and they were simply and quickly inserted into the ground without the requirement for pot or planter. They have specially selected growing media which contains controlled release fertiliser and wetting agents to aid rapid establishment.
Green screens are excellent alternatives to fencing and are available in a range of heights, up to 3 metres.
