Over 70,000 tree shelters delivered!

A record 70,000 tree tubes and tree shelters have now been supplied to the mammoth A1 up-grade scheme that is in progress between Dishforth and Darrington in Yorkshire. The £245 million project is currently in full swing with a planned completion date of Spring 2012.

The tree shelters and tubes already supplied by Green-tech complete essential landscaping works on embankments along the roadside. The tree shelters and tubes were specifically chosen to give the newly planted trees the best start possible. Each individual shelter and tube provides a micro-climate for the newly planted trees, essential for a harsh environment.
